Hashtag  Yellow Picket Fence

 

These modular, expandable fences are variations of the white picket fence, that symbol of the American dream. It is updated here in the form of a hashtag, and painted different shades of yellow.

 

Some contain black metal shadows that exactly replicate the fence’s shape – an impossibility with real shadows.

Like other domestic objects made by the artist, these are also relatively useless, as one segment does not keep anyone out or in.
